CAIRO (Reuters) – Libya’s attorney general announced on Saturday the dismantling of a network involved in human trafficking in a region in the country’s northwest, Libya’s Al-Ahrar TV said.
Authorities arrested the network’s leaders and 10 members, who are implicated in severe crimes, including murder, illegal detention, torture, and rape of migrants, Al-Ahrar added.
Violations affecting 300 migrants were documented, including forced detention, torture, and extortion for their release.
