KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Elissa Slotkin stopped in Kalamazoo Monday as she enters the home stretch in her statewide campaign to fill the seat left vacant by the retirement of Senator Debbie Stabenow.
She told a room full of active Democrats, most of whom have voted already, that their mission now is to sway the undecideds, the folks who are turned off by politics and convince them that their democracy is on the line next Tuesday.
She told the crowd that she has heard about several long-time Republicans who are secretly voting Democratic this time, especially women.
She is locked in a tight race with Republican former Congressman Mike Rogers in what has been a nasty and bitter media campaign.
