HOWARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A crash between a tractor and another vehicle just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Cass County has sent one person to a hospital.
The sheriff’s office says it happened near the intersection of Leet Road and Worrell Street in Howard Township.
55-year-old Michael Studer of Niles was driving the tractor and was slowing down on Leet Road to turn onto Worrell Street.
A 78-year-old driver from Niles, Larry Chapman, tried to pass the tractor on the left, but collided with it during the turn.
Studer was injured and is being treated at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.
The sheriff’s office has not indicated if Chapman was ticketed.
