GOBLES, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Van Buren County Assistant Prosecutor Rachel Keeley is running for Van Buren County District Court Judge in 2026.
She announced her candidacy Thursday morning, citing over a decade of courtroom experience along with deep local roots and a career she says is dedicated to protecting children and standing with victims.
Her family has been in Van Buren County for over a century, with her great-grandparents helping to establish the Hilltop at Shamrock Shores in Gobles.
Keeley has been the Van Buren County Assistant Prosecutor since 2021 and served in the Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office from 2015 to 2021. She also practiced law in South Haven before becoming a prosecutor.
She has also been a Safe Harbor team member since 2015, advocating for victims from Allegan and Van Buren counties. Keeley serves in Family Reunification Court, which helps families heal and rebuild after neglect and abuse cases.
Keeley graduated from Gobles High School, DePaul University, and earned her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
