Portage Northern High School students raise $33,700 in Bread Lift tradition

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage Northern High School students set a record on November 22 by raising $33,700 in their annual Bread Lift fundraiser.

It has been going on for at least 60 years and raised money for Bronson Children’s Hospital’s pediatric and oncology unit.

Students went door-to-door offering a loaf of bread for a donation to the charity.

Portage Public Schools have raised over $600,000 in the history of the Bread Lift.
