BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – – A 17-year-old Battle Creek resident was struck Friday shortly before 9:00 p.m. by a westbound train near the intersection of Bedford Road and Harmonia Road.
The Battle Creek Police Department says the individual was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained.
The police department says it is working in coordination with railroad police to conduct a thorough investigation. Assisting agencies included the Battle Creek Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance, and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
