COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Comstock Township has replaced a fire engine that was totaled responding to a crash on I-94 east of Sprinkle Road on December 12, 2024.
The fire department held a “push-in ceremony” to push the front end of Engine 912 backwards into Station 9-1.
A 24-foot box truck lost control on I-94 and crashed into a Comstock Township fire truck, two other township fire vehicles, and a Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office cruiser.
Chaplain Eric Kuhn blessed the new fire engine and prayed for the safety and protection for everyone who responds with it.
