KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Voting season is in full swing with absentee balloting underway, four early in-person voting stations now operating in Kalamazoo County and local clerks gearing up for Election Day.
Kalamazoo City Clerk Scott Borling says city residents have one additional perk.
A full-service satellite election office on the Western Michigan University campus is in the Fetzer Center, where they can do anything that’s election related.
Borling says the center on campus is for everyone to use.
He says that that office can get busier closer to the election as students realize they haven’t registered here and need to transfer it from their hometown precincts.
Borling says the current number of registered city voters stands at about 57,000, that’s approximately 7,000 more than were registered on January 1st of this year.
