GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Food banks in west Michigan are uneasy with the more than one-billion-dollars that have been cut by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for local food banks and schools.
Feeding America West Michigan president and CEO Ken Estelle says it will have an impact.
He says that would be over two million meals that they had been planning on getting in the next three or four months.
Estelle says their current inventory will last about a month.
