KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The 74th Annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair is coming up Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7.
It will be held in Bronson Park from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The KIA Arts Fair is the second-longest running juried arts fair in the United States and features artisans from Michigan and around the country that showcase original, hand crafted artwork in 12 artistic mediums.
Along with the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind works of art, visitors will find delicious food truck fare, kids and family activities, and artist demonstrations from the Kirk Newman Art School.
On Saturday, June 7, at 10 a.m., the “Best in Category” winners will be announced, with winners in each category receiving a $375 cash prize.
There will also be live music on the Bronson Park Stage presented by the KIA and Sounds of the Zoo through the weekend.
The Arts Fair is free and open to everyone.
