KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University says four of its international students have been removed from the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System.
They say online that termination of that status “can lead to being asked to leave the country,” and WMU does not know if the students will have their visas revoked.
The SEVIS terminations were discovered by staff members who monitor the system and federal officials did not notify the university or the students.
WMU is working with the students to determine their options.
