AUBURN HILLS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer says she was not expecting to be invited to President Trump’s press conference at the White House Wednesday.
She says she stayed despite disagreeing with “a lot of the stuff that was said and the actions that were taken, but I stayed in the room because I needed to make the case for Michigan and that’s my job.”
Trump revoked security clearances during the press conference of two high-level former government officials who questioned his election fraud claims in 2020.
Whitmer and Trump did talk about keeping Asian carp out of the Great Lakes, getting federal help for the northern Michigan ice storm, and Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
