SAUGATUCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The body of a 67-year-old Saugatuck Township who had been missing since Thursday afternoon has been found.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office says the body of Nancy Eichler-O’Connell was found by the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol and Michigan Department of Natural Resources Friday morning. They say there are no signs of foul play.
Overnight rescue crews combed the waters of the Kalamazoo River near Douglas, with a helicopter hovering overhead.
Eichler-O’Connell was last seen at her residence around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the search by Allegan County Dive Rescue Team, Allegan County Marine Patrol, Douglas City Police Department, Life EMS, Saugatuck Fire Department, Graafschap Fire Department, Hamilton Fire Department, Michigan DNR, Michigan State Police/MSP Aviation Uni,t and Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office.
