CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) – One person was shot at and another was stabbed during a dispute Thursday afternoon in Kalamazoo County’s Charlestown Township.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an address near North 36th Street and East HJ Avenue around 1:00 p.m. in reference to a shots fired into a vehicle call.
They found that an altercation between two individuals resulted in one person being stabbed and another person being shot at. All injuries sustained were non-life threatening in nature. The injured parties were treated on scene by EMS declining transport to the hospital.
One subject was arrested in relation to this incident on a fresh charge of felonious assault. Other subjects were arrested on outstanding warrants. All arrested subjects were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office says all names of involved parties are being withheld currently pending authorization of charges by the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors Office and arraignment.
