KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – We are on the eve of graduation season in Kalamazoo, where education is big business and diplomas are one of our most important products.
This weekend will be the end of the line for the first class of 2025 at Western Michigan University, with many more ceremonies coming in the next two months.
WMU president Ed Montgomery will preside over four separate ceremonies for the various colleges and specialties.
Ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Miller Auditorium and can also be viewed online.
This isn’t Dr. Montgomery’s last graduation at WMU, as one more is scheduled at the end of summer term on June 28th, just days before new President Russ Kavalhuna begins work on July 1st.
