PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage Farmers Market will open for the 10th season on Sunday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It will be at Portage City Hall at 7900 South Westnedge Avenue and there will be live music from local musician Mike Talbot, a visit from Portage’s mascot Mr. Crispy, and more than 30 vendors.
The vendors will have a variety of locally-made specialty products like fresh-cut flowers, delicious baked goods, gourmet meats and cheeses, and fresh seasonal produce from local farmers.
The Youth Advisory Committee will host the 17th Annual Green-A-Thon. The YAC will give away White Pine, Eastern Redbud, and Sugar Maple tree seedlings.
The Portage Farmers Market will be at Portage City Hall every Sunday from May 4 through October 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
