NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 14-year-old girl from Barry County has been rescued from a home in the Detroit suburb of Northville Township.
She was allegedly kidnapped by 22-year-old Charles Willis after he groomed her online.
He took an Uber to her home, and the two took another Uber ride back to his home.
Willis is accused of raping the girl at his house.
He told her to stay in his basement, but she was found wandering around alone in the area of 7 Mile and Sheldon roads at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, and he was charged this week.
Police are investigating if Willis has any other alleged victims.
He is in the Wayne County Jail on a $1 million bond and is due in court next week.
