SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Singapore’s People’s Action Party won its 14th successive election on Saturday with 87 of 97 seats in parliament, according to results from the election commission, extending its six-decade rule over the Asian financial hub.
The PAP had yet to be formally declared winner but had won in 30 of 33 constituencies, the commission said.
