LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and 17 other attorneys general are suing the Trump administration over their attempt to stop the development of wind energy.
Nessel says Trump “continues to spread falsehoods about renewable energy” but says the truth is that “it is reliable, affordable, and supports thousands of jobs here in Michigan.”
Trump issued a Presidential Moratorium January 20, 2025 that indefinitely halted all federal approvals needed to the development of wind energy projects pending federal review. Nessel says all permitting and approvals have stopped along with the construction of a fully-permitted project in New York.
