Work starts Monday on West Milham Avenue between 12th Street, Oakland Drive

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Starting Monday, West Milham Avenue between 12th Street and Oakland Drive will be under construction.

The city of Portage says the project will include ADA sidewalk and ramp replacements, curb repairs, extension of the city’s fiber network from Oakland Drive to Angling Road, and road milling and resurfacing.

Traffic signals at the Monticello Avenue and Devon Street intersections will also be replaced.

The work will start with the sidewalk upgrades on the south side of West Milham Avenue and traffic will be shifted to the two lanes on the north side of the road.

The project is scheduled to be complete in August, weather and materials permitting.
