KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine will welcome resident doctors from across the state on Wednesday for the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association of Michigan SimWars Competition.
There will be 11 teams, including one from WMed, taking part in the annual event that features several simulated scenarios to test residents’ abilities and skills in high-pressure, emergency situations.
The SimWars Competition will be from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Simulation Center at the W.E. Upjohn MD Campus in downtown Kalamazoo.
The first five teams will compete from 9 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a short break and they the other six teams taking part.
After lunch, the top two teams will compete in a final exercise to determine the winner.
