Joshi named to succeed Stoddard as Parchment City Manager

PARCHMENT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -The City of Parchment has named Sarah Joshi as its new City Manager, effective June 18, 2025.

Joshi’s background includes roles as City Manager of Galesburg, Deputy Director of On-Demand Services & Planning at Metro Transit, Deputy County Clerk and Election Specialist for Kalamazoo County, and Marketing Communications Director for the Home Builders Association.

City officials say Joshi brings a wealth of experience in local government, public administration, and strategic planning, along with a deep commitment to community-building and sustainable development.

Joshi succeeds Nancy Stoddard, who has served as City Manager since 2017.

One of the key projects ahead for the city is the redevelopment of the former mill site, which officials say will be a cornerstone in the city’s plans for a sustainable, thriving future.
