KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Get ready for the return of hot weather to southwest Michigan.
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch that will take effect from Saturday through Tuesday. The NWS says it will be upgraded to an Extreme Heat Warning or Advisory depending on conditions.
The high temperatures from Saturday until Tuesday are expected to be in the low-to-mid 90s, with the heat index around 100-degrees.
The temperatures are not expected to break records, but will be over 10 degrees above average.
