Schoolcraft Cancels July 4th Parade Due To Lack Of Police Officers

SCHOOLCRAFT, MI (WTVB) –   There will be no parade through downtown Schoolcraft next Friday for the Fourth of July.

The village council has  decided  to cancel the parade because they don’t have enough police to staff the event. The cancellation is the second consecutive in Schoolcraft, with last year’s called off due to road construction.

The fireworks will still happen in the village on July 5 and the car show in Burch Park will also happen.
