KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The plans to revamp Kalamazoo’s Arcadia Creek Festival Site downtown have been presented to the city commission.
Assistant City Manager Rebekah Kik says the plans allow for better walkability, space that lowers the cost of hosting events, has flexible spaces to serve several needs, and can be used year-round.
An expanded playground and splash pad are also in the redesign.
The city has not estimated the costs yet but is expecting to open the project for bids in the summer of 2026.
