KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State Police Sergeant Kellie Gillam-Shaffer has been acquitted of a misdemeanor charge of reckless use of a firearm.
A Kalamazoo County judge acquitted her of the charge this week.
Gillam-Shaffer was charged in February after her department-issued gun fired a shot through her holster, purse, and her hand when she put her wallet in the purse at Costco.
She was off-duty at the time
