BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An 18-year-old Battle Creek man has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Battle Creek early Monday morning.
Police were dispatched to the crash just after 1 a.m. in the first block of Irving Park Drive and paramedics took him and a 17-year-old girl to the hospital.
She is still hospitalized with serious injuries.
Police say the vehicle was being driven by another 18-year-old Battle Creek man and both passengers were handing out of the windows when they were ejected when the vehicle rolled.
The driver was not hurt and is now in the Calhoun County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving causing death and driving while intoxicated and reckless driving causing serious injury.
No names have been released.
