CONSTANTINE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 69-year-old Harrison man will spend the next 20 to 30 years in prison after being convicted in May of sexually assaulting a relative 20 years ago.
Attorney General Dana Nessel says Geral Whitney was found guilty of one charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
She says the “significant sentence sends a clear message that no matter how much time has passed, justice is possible for sexual assault survivors.”
Whitney was charged in 2023 in St. Joseph County.
