ALLENDALE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Grand Valley State University officials have announced they is paving the way to help students impacted by the looming closure of Siena Heights University.
Earlier this month it was announced that Siena Heights will close at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year.
As of July 1, there were nearly 1,900 students enrolled at SHU. In its announcement, the school said it would work with other local college and universities to help those who would not graduate before the end of the next academic year to continue their studies elsewhere. Grand Valley now appears to be one of those options.
All SHU students in good academic standing will be guaranteed admission and GVSU will extend deadlines for those who apply for merit scholarships.
