BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Six Battle Creek-area residents were arrested following a large-scale burglary investigation that began Wednesday after road patrol officers with the Battle Creek Police Department responded to a breaking and entering on Renton Road.
More than $100,000 worth of property was reported stolen from the victim’s residence and surrounding property, including a classic car, a bass fishing boat, and three all-terrain vehicles.
The Battle Creek Police Department says their Detective Bureau, Fusion Center, and COPS team led the investigation. Multiple search warrants were executed across Battle Creek, Pennfield Township, and Barry County. Authorities recovered most of the stolen property.
The suspects are awaiting arraignment on burglary charges. Their names have not been released.
The BCPD Emergency Response Team, along with Barry County and Calhoun County agencies, assisted in the operation.
