KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of consumer and commercial products that opened a division in Western Michigan University’s Parkview Campus in 2014 will be relocating that operation to Georgia.
Newell Brands, which owns Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Paper Mate, Yankee Candle, and FoodSaver among others, says their design center facility will move to their global headquarters in Atlanta.
A spokesman for the company says the relocation will happen in phases and is expected to be complete by mid-2026. Many of the Kalamazoo employees will have the opportunity to relocate.
It’s believed there are around 100 employees at the Kalamazoo facility, with over 24,000 worldwide.
