BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Calhoun County residents are being asked for their thoughts about the future of the county’s recycling program.
The Calhoun County Recycling and Solid Waste Department is holding three meetings in August in Ceresco, Albion, and Homer to get feedback.
The first will be August 6 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Newton Township Community Building at 11103 9 1/2 Mile Road in Ceresco, followed from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. the same day at Sheridan Township Hall at 13355 29 Mile Road in Albion.
The next day, a meeting will be at Eckford Community Center from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at 99 Maple Road in Homer.

Business owners will be invited to separate meetings throughout Calhoun County and they have their own survey available at this link.
The meetings are part of the county’s Materials Management Plan Work Program and all counties in Michigan are required to complete a Materials Management Plan after changes to the State’s Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act and Part 115.
