TOKYO (Reuters) -Japan recorded its highest-ever temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius (106.2 degrees Fahrenheit) in Tamba City of Hyogo Prefecture in western Japan on Wednesday, the country’s Meteorological Agency said.
The reading surpassed the previous record of 41.1 C in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, in 2018 and in Hamamatsu City in 2020.
