(Reuters) -The Trump administration is preparing to terminate $7 billion in federal grants intended to help low and moderate-income families install solar panels on their homes, the New York Times reported on Tuesday, citing two people briefed on the matter.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is drafting termination letters to the 60 nonprofit groups and state agencies that received grants under the “Solar for All” program, with the goal of sending the letters by the end of this week, the report said, citing the two people.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
