BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two Battle Creek fire stations will be renovated, another will be expanded, and three new ones will be built.
That follows a unanimous vote last night by the Battle Creek City Commission to spend nearly $20 million on the project.
Interim Battle Creek City Manager Ted Dearing says they had to revise their plans to renovate fire stations.
He says the stations will be modernized and upgraded for both male and female firefighters and will meet federal accessibility standards.
