WASHINGTON, DC (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer and President Donald Trump met yesterday in Washington, DC to talk about the impact his import tariffs will have on the auto industry.
She also brought up the possible impacts of Medicaid cuts on Michigan that will be brought about by what he has called the “big, beautiful bill.”
Whitmer and Trump have met several times this year since he took office for a second term, in contrast to his first term where they were often at odds.
She says she will “work with anyone to get things done for Michigan.”
