HARTFORD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Twenty-two-year-old Justin Arellano of Hartford has been acquitted of charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and a weapons charge for a shots fired incident in Hartford last August.
He and 18-year-old Elias Ramirez fired shots at each other from two pickup trucks on August 17, 2024 in a neighborhood.
Ramirez pled guilty to firing from a vehicle in November.
Arellano was found not guilty, and his parents say he was acting in self-defense when he fired the shots.
No one was hurt.
