BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Charges have been authorized against a driver involved in a fatal reckless driving crash last month that claimed the life of a Calhoun Community High School student and seriously injured a female passenger.
The driver is facing charges of operating while intoxicated (OWI), reckless driving causing death, OWI causing serious injury, and reckless driving causing serious injury.
The driver’s name has not yet been released, pending arraignment.
The charges were authorized after the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office received blood alcohol concentration (BAC) results on the driver involved in the crash.
