EMMETT TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Amtrak says it will issue refunds for the passengers who were stuck for about four hours on a train in Emmett Township near Battle Creek last week.
The train was heading to Dearborn from Chicago when Amtrak says it had an issue with a sensor that sometimes “produces a false indication.”
The company has been discussing the actions they need to take with the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The train stopped around 7 p.m. Friday and the passengers were loaded onto buses to go to their destinations around midnight.
