SANTIAGO (Reuters) -Chile’s mining regulator Sernageomin has added requirements for Codelco to restart areas affected by a deadly collapse at its El Teniente copper mine in July, according to a Sernageomin document seen by Reuters on Monday.
The company will now have to have a monitoring and control plan overseeing the stability and safety of mining operations in all of its underground deposits in the mine to resume operations in the areas that remain shuttered, the document said.
