LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan House has passed a $78-billion budget for Fiscal Year 2026 on a 59-to-45 vote to set up negotiations with the state Senate, which passed its budget this spring.
House Speaker Matt Hall of Richland says their budget includes $3.4-billion for roads without raising taxes.
The Senate budget, however, was passed before the federal budget bill was approved and slashes state funding, Medicaid, and more.
The House plan also has $100-million for public safety.
