BANGKOK (Reuters) -The biggest party in Thailand’s parliament said on Wednesday it would back the Bhumjaithai party to form the next government, boosting the prospect of an end to days of political deadlock following the prime minister’s sacking.
Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, the leader of the oppositionĀ People’s Party, which controls nearly a third of house seats, made the announcement at a press conference. Bhumjaithai is vying for the premiership with the ruling Pheu Thai Party.
