SAO PAULO (Reuters) -Data center provider ODATA, an Aligned Data Centers company, has secured a $1.02 billion green financing package for sustainable data center infrastructure development across Latin America, it said in a statement on Thursday.

The financing is the largest sustainable financing deal for data centers in the region’s history. It strengthens ODATA’s position at a time when demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure is surging.
BY THE NUMBERS
ODATA has now secured a total of $2.25 billion in financing, with the latest funding to be allocated for projects focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy use, and sustainable construction practices.
