KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Consumers Energy says it will be celebrating the success of their “Count on Us Kalamazoo” initiative Saturday afternoon with a special event at the Douglass Community Association
Consumers Energy says “Count on Us Kalamazoo” was launched to help customers reduce energy use and save money.
Since announcing its effort in February targeting neighbors in three Kalamazoo zip codes, the utility says it has helped customers create even temperatures throughout their homes to help save on energy bills through a collaboration with duct sealing partner Aeroseal, as well as performing over 90 home assessments, providing education and energy saving items that have been directly installed by qualified technicians, including pipe wrap installation, replacing existing thermostats with smart thermostats, window film installation, and HVAC tune-ups and other premium home upgrades.
The Kalamazoo “Energizing Equity” event is scheduled for Saturday, September 13 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Douglass Community Association at 1000 W. Paterson Street and will feature a family-friendly day of games, food, giveaways, and will highlight a variety of resources available to customers to help achieve energy equity and savings for all.
