KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 33-year-old man was shot in one of his lower legs around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Ada Street.
Kalamazoo Public Safety says he showed up at an area hospital shortly after the shots were fired with a gunshot wound and is in stable condition.
No information on the suspect has been released.
The victim’s name has not been revealed.
KDPS is also investigating another non-deadly shooting that happened a few hours later, just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of North Westnedge Avenue for the shots being fired and found an adult man with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a hospital to be treated, and police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
The investigation is also still in its early stages, and no suspect information is available.
Public safety officials say the shooting does not appear to be related to the shooting that occurred prior to this in the 600 block of Ada Street.
