CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 36-year-old man will spend between the next 38-months to 10-years in prison for stealing a walnut tree.
Trever Wallace was sentenced Friday in Cass County for the theft, which happened in December 2024.
Wallace pled guilty in August to a charge of larceny over $1,000 and had nine prior felony convictions.
The tree was stolen from what prosecutors call a “rural estate” two days before he was arrested.
