GM taking a $1.6-billion hit in fourth quarter

DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – General Motors officials say the automaker will have a negative impact of $1.6-billion in the fourth quarter.

That is due to the tax incentives for electric vehicles ending in the U.S. and rules governing emissions being relaxed.

GM says in a regulatory filing they might also take hits as they adjust production.
