KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Safety officers have arrested a 51-year-old Kalamazoo man for a non-deadly shooting that happened Thursday afternoon.
Officers were called to the area of Summit and Douglas avenues after getting a report of a shooting and found a 53-year-old man with gunshot wounds around 1 p.m.
The suspect was caught two-hours later and was arrested around 3:15 p.m.
He is scheduled to be arraigned today on charges including assault with intent to murder and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
The victim is hospitalized and being treated for his injuries.
