DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A defense attorney representing one of the five young men arrested by the FBI Friday for an alleged terror plot says the plot for the planned attack didn’t exist.
Amir Makled is representing one man from Dearborn and says the suspects are all gamers, U.S. citizens, and between 16 and 20-years-old.
FBI director Kash Patel said Friday they were arrested and a violent terror attack was planned for Halloween.
Makled says they talk tough with each other while playing video games, but none are radical terrorists as the FBI says they are.
He adds there was no immediate threat and says he and other attorneys do not expect charges will be filed.
The names of the five have not been released.
