COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Few details have been released in a shooting death in Kalamazoo County’s Comstock late Friday night.
Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch Authority received
911 calls reporting someone was shot in the 3500 block of Comstock Village Lane. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office and other first responders
were dispatched. When they arrived deputies found a 35-year-old male with a gunshot wound.
The Sheriff’s Office says lifesaving efforts were attempted, but the man was pronounced deceased on scene.
The sheriff’s office was able to identify a person of interest who was taken into custody at a separate location.
They say at this time, this is an
ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, Michigan State Police, the Comstock Fire Department and Life EMS ambulance.
